INDIA

HELLO ALL!

I'm back from India!

And man, oh man, was it better than I expected.
It was damn fun. My cousins are so funny, my family is whacky, full of characters and stories, and India is strange, and all of that is in a good way.

I miss it now that I've come home.
I'll miss rushing every evening to get back to the apartment to change into itchy Indian clothes, then sitting in the back of the car and getting carsick because the driver got lost, and then when we finally reach the place, finding my cousins and rushing to get a table so we can all sit together, and then toasting to speeches even though we don't even have any drinks.

I miss making fun of 'P', poking her on the bus and trying not to go to an army camp with her, even if she does keep reminding us that she's gonna take us.

I miss dancing with my sister and cousins to Indian songs I've never heard and don't understand, and watching weddings, cows and goats go past my window.

And I miss everything else we did there.

India was awesome. I'm gonna miss everything about those five days.

I learned some interesting things in India. Some of them are:

  • How wonderfully weird and whacky my entire family is.
  • That roundabouts on roads were made to prove that the world is round.
  • What 'desi' means.
  • That the stray dogs in India look both ways before crossing the road.
  • That henna designs on your hands fade faster than I thought.
And there's another thing, but I can only find that out on my birthday. I'm counting the moments =)

So, until next time India.

Cheers.
